I am deeply honoured to be situated on the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Vancouver, British Columbia, holds a special place in my heart, and as a settler, I’m filled with respect and gratitude for our city and the land it’s built on.
While I cannot embody indigenous teachings, I strive to approach my work with respect and honour for the philosophies of Indigenous healers and elders. I believe in acknowledging the interconnectedness of all living beings and the land itself, as well as the wisdom of other cultures.
Guided by these values, my intention is to create a space of healing, transformation, and empowerment. My commitment to these principles extends beyond my immediate surroundings, recognising the universal importance of respecting all forms of wisdom and its origin across the world.
This statement is made with the intent of being culturally sensitive and respectful. It’s also what I believe in. This type of work requires ongoing education in an ever-changing landscape to integrate new findings, so this statement may be edited over time to adjust to this as I learn more.
